Eight years in, Atangana's tenth release focuses on Alex Dorothee, the Guadeloupean musician who came up through Les Vautours and Les Junior de Paris before recording eight albums of his own (the mid-80s private press Au Krisma Discotheque is the one diggers most often return to). Here we zoom into the sound spurred by the song 'Afro Zouk', a mutant electro-zouk hybrid that later caught Harmonie Exotic's attention for reissue, though it's not included here: instead we've 'Kadence Kadence' and 'Dimba Tine Raison', differently sped struts through clapping, stomping dembow and post-meringue rhythms, the latter track a lyrical reminder, in Guadeloupean Creole, to hold fast to a just cause.
