Dark Entries presents Terminal Fascination, a retrospective of the music of Camille O’Grady: subversive artist, leather witch, punk poet and gender saboteur. O’Grady cut her teeth in New York’s punk scene at clubs like CBGB’s, where Leather Secrets shared stages with acts like Television.
Later, she moved to San Francisco to be with her partner, performance artist and gallerist Robert Opel, who was tragically killed in 1979. O’Grady died from COVID in 2020, with her work across text, image and sound unpublished during her lifetime.
Working with her estate, Dark Entries assembled 13 recordings, including James Dean to the Rescue, Tourniquet and Toilet Kiss. Two songs were recorded in Los Angeles for an unreleased 7-inch; the rest were recorded live in 1979 at The Ambush in San Francisco. Released alongside Phillip Zimmerman’s 300-page book A Cross-Worlds Angel, the record includes liner notes, lyrics and photographs.
