The story starts in 1971, when Minneapolis had a booming R&B scene and The Valdons—a four-man vocal group—were its crown jewel. They’d just dropped their debut 7", but despite serious local heat, it never broke nationally, and the group soon split. Decades later, The Valdons have become a sensation in both the Lowrider Souldies and Northern Soul worlds. Now Secret Stash Records is proud to present the first-ever reproduction of their debut single: “All Day Long” b/w “Love Me, Leave Me”— original copies can fetch $600+ on the collectors market. This fully licensed reissue was cut from the original master tapes and is limited to 500 hand-numbered copies. When they’re gone, they’re gone.
