Alan Lomax recorded R.L. Burnside performing “Jumper on the Line” at his farm in Independence, Mississippi in 1978. The celebrated performance has reached millions of listeners online.
The original tapes have been restored and remastered by Grammy winner Jessica Thompson. The B-side, “On the Tractor”, includes previously unheard conversation and b-roll from the original recording session.
