This 1972 release is a remixed, expanded version of bassist Miroslav Vitouš’s 1970 debut Infinite Search. Retitled Mountain in the Clouds, it added the bonus track “Cérečka” and refined mixes from the original sessions. Spanning early jazz-fusion, the album features Vitouš on bass backed by an all star lineup including Herbie Hancock on electric piano. This the album is seen as a seminal document of early fusion's emergence, showcasing Vitouš’s unconventional bass approach and the creative interplay among future jazz icons.
