Recorded on September 12, 1971, shortly after the release of Maggot Brain, Live at Meadowbrook 1971 is the only official live recording from Funkadelic's classic early era. Drawn from the original soundboard master tapes, it captures George Clinton, Eddie Hazel, Bernie Worrell and Billy “Bass” Nelson, and features the first recorded appearances of guitarist Harold Beane and drummer Tyrone Lampkin with Funkadelic.
Featuring explosive performances of “Maggot Brain” and “I Got A Thing, You Got A Thing, Everybody's Got A Thing”, this complete, unedited performance showcases the band's blend of psychedelic rock, deep funk and fearless improvisation.
Newly remastered by Dave Gardner and sounding better than ever, this deluxe 2LP edition presents the complete, unedited performance on Cosmic Teal and Atomic Red colour vinyl. Housed in updated gatefold packaging with new cover artwork by Damon Locks, it also includes Rob Bowman's extensive liner notes, originally written for the 1996 CD release.
