Canter’s sound has always been hard to define, as it encompasses so many distinct qualities, with Corban Lott’s evocative vocals and guitar, overlaid on the electronic backdrop of Ryan Germain and AJ Halbrook’s cinematic synth. In ‘Traveller’ they gave TONN Recordings its very first vinyl release and is an album which remains a cornerstone in the development of the label’s sound.
TONN Recordings is an independent record label based in Belfast. Founded in 2016 by visual artist Mary McIntyre, it is dedicated to electronic music. Home of select synth, it releases the best in contemporary coldwave and electro, working closely with the most active and creative electronic artists in the underground minimal synth scene, across Europe and the US.
