Dublin experimental rock trio Bucket announce first-ever vinyl pressing of 'Muck' and 'Mosaic' EPs as part of Dinked's Early Doors series.
Pressed on limited-edition Red and Black Marble vinyl, the release brings the two EPs together on one record, with Muck on one side and Mosaic on the other. The announcement comes ahead of highly-anticipated UK headline shows this week in London, Bristol and Manchester, following new single 'Strung Out' earlier this month. The dates build on a year of touring that has included support slots with Knocked Loose, Heavy Lungs and The Scratch, alongside appearances at ArcTanGent, Eurosonic and FOCUS Wales.
Selected by Dinked, the collective of independent record shops, Bucket join the Early Doors series dedicated to championing emerging artists and bringing their music to a wider audience. Previous editions have included releases from YARD, Makeshift Art Bar, Glasshouse Red Spider Mite, PUNCHBAG and Dog Race.
Together, the two EPs document a band rapidly expanding its sound, tracing the rowdy collision of garage, noise and hardcore on Muck through to the electronic experimentation and volatile, shape-shifting arrangements of Mosaic.
Originally released in March 2025, Muck captures the destructive live energy on which Bucket first built their reputation. Recorded live at Black Mountain Studios in Dundalk, its four tracks pit weighty drums and restless basslines against piercing guitars and distorted vocal melodies, finding room for dark humour amid the abrasion.
Released in April this year, Mosaic pushes those foundations into more disorientating territory. Produced by the band alongside James Eager (Lankum, The Scratch) and recorded between Transmission Rooms Studio in Longford and Camden Studios in Dublin, the EP unfolds through fictional narrators grappling with paranoia, mania, trauma and obsession. The breakbeat-fuelled spiral of 'DNB', suffocating intensity of 'Nonsense' and destructive climax of 'Memento' connect danceable rhythms with crushing guitars and abrupt shifts in mood.
Formed by guitarist/vocalist Cian Dahdouh and bassist Emmet McNamee, who met in college after arriving from garage-punk and metal/hardcore backgrounds respectively, and now joined by drummer Korey Thomas (Bricknasty), Bucket emerged from Dublin’s DIY scene in 2021.
From selling out The Workman’s Club to appearances at Primavera Sound, New Colossus in New York and Supersonic Block Party in Paris, the trio have steadily taken their ferocious live show to audiences further afield.
