‘Something For Real’ is Kiefer’s first ever live album, performed by Kiefer and his trio, consisting of frequent collaborators Luke Titus and Pera Krstajic. The performance was recorded in secret at an intimate Los Angeles show in April 2023, capturing a natural electricity between the three. The live album includes one new song in title track ‘Something For Real’, along with originals from Kiefer’s catalogue and a stirring rendition of Bobby Hutcherson’s ‘Montara’.
Kiefer is a GRAMMY Award-winning artist who has produced, played and written for artists including Anderson .Paak and Drake. Recently performed his own NPR Tiny Desk concert with his trio plus additional guest performers Nate Smith, Cartoons, Theo Croker and Charlie Hunter.
