Netil Radio January 2019

Welcome to our new monthly STP show on Netil Radio.

At Stranger Than Paradise there's nothing we like more than discovering exciting music, you could say it's our reason for being. We hope our regular broadcasts bring you enjoyment and you're inspired to delve a little deeper into some of the music we cover. All featured vinyl is available to order for shipping or click n collect. If a particular tilte shows as currently out of stock why not try our add to wishlist function, we'll then notify you when it arrives back in stock.

My personal highlight of January's selection is the immersive Atto IV by Vladimir Tarasov. The Russian free improv pioneer discribes it as a contemplative setting, all of it recorded on the spot in front of a small audience with no overdubs or fixes. Tarasov plays an array of instrumentation including drums, homemade and found percussion instruments, his infamous hunting horn, and various electronic devices to control both atmosphere and tensions.
